(copyright, John Farrell 2002)
Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah! That can be done
Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah! We are the ones
I believe in you, I believe in me
I believe in love, I believe in dreams
I believe we can do anything
Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah!
Now if they say you’re not good enough,
Tell them “Yes I am!”
If they say you can’t do it
Tell them “Yes, I can!”
If they say you should quit
‘Cause you’re only wasting time
Say, “Adios, amigo, I’ve got to go
I’ve got mountains to climb”
2 - Dear Child
copyright John Farrell 2002
Dear Child, I never knew
Clouds were so beautiful, the sky was so blue
Dear, Sweet Child, You taught me to fly
I found my wings when I looked in your eyes
How is this possible? How can it be?
That such a small child has done this to me.
Birds songs are sweeter now
Each note rings clear
The moon’s light is brighter now
All because you are here
Dear Child, you taught me to see
The stare in the sky, the leaves on the trees
Dear, Sweet Child, you made time stand still
I loved you that moment and I always will
Dear Child, you taught me to see

4 - I Wish I Hadn't Done That
Copyright, John Farrell 2002
I wish I hadn’t done that
Believe me this is true
I wouldn’t have and I shouldn’t have
If I had thought it through
But sometimes I don’t think
I just go ahead and act
And oft times wind up saying
“I wish I hadn’t done that!”
Like the day I rode my bicycle
No hands through Seaside Park
I was poetry in motion
I was carefree as a lark
Until I got this bright idea
What if I stood instead of sat?
As I flew over the handlebars I thought
I wish I hadn’t done that
One day I was juggling
When in walked my friend Meg
Smiling she said, “You’re getting pretty good
But I bet you can’t juggle eggs”
Well I took the challenge, I was doing fine
Until she started to clap
And as I cleaned the eggs
Off the floor and my face I thought
I wish I hadn’t done that!
5 - Bridges
copyright John Farrell, 2002
Bridges connect the earth and the sky
Bridges rise up, trancend and inspire
Bridges are proof that dreams can come true
A smile is a bridge from me to you
Bridges cross water, bridges cross land
Bridges contract and bridges expand
Some bridges are massive, others are small
Love is a bridge that tears down walls
Some bridges are covered
Some swing in the breeze
And soar cover canyons, rivers, and trees
Some bridges charge toll,
Most bridges are free
Hope is a bridge to a hope that can be
Some bridges arch, while others suspend
Some bridges are straight , some bridges bend
Some bridges raise up, some even turn around
Music’s a bridge that’s made out of sound
There are bridges underground, bridges in space
There’s even a bridge in the middle of your face
Bridges on boats, violins, and guitars
Imagination is a bridge from here to the stars
Bridges are needed when problems aise
Bridges are answers to how ? where? and why?
Bridges span hardship, triumph, and sorrow
A dream is a bridge from today to tomorrow
Bridges let us to see things from the other side
Bridges solve problems that used to divide
Some bridges ens where other bridges start
Friendship is a bridge that comforts the heart
Some bridges get crowded
Some seldom get used
Some bridges are acient, others are new
We need bridges to the future
And from the past
Stories are bridges that last and last
Bridges connect the earth and the sky
Bridges rise up, transcend, and inspire
Bridges are proff that dreams can come true
Words are a bridge from me to you
Bridges unite, bridges inspire
Bridges connect the earth and the sky
Bridges are proof that dreams can come true
A smile is a bridge from me to you
6 - Carry On
Copyright, John Farrell 2000
Halfway up a mountain
No one ever wants to climb
Daybreak never comes without the night
The pain is always deepest
When the love is strong
The shadow darkest
When you’ve known the light
When the tears start falling
Like a gentle summer rain
Or when you hear that favorite song
Think about the laughter and the smiles
That filled our hearts
And know that light is ours to carry on
Always there and listening
To every word with care
Sharing smiles, sharing jokes, and cups of tea
And though now the chair sits empty
The memories linger on
In the stories, in the songs and on the breeze
Refrain
A photograph, a moment,
Quiet words, or just a glance
Etched in hearts more deeply than in stones
Like wildflowers on a hillside
Sunsets on the bay
Dreams don’t die they just get passed along
7 - I'd Like To Be A Duck For A Day
Copyright, John Farrell 2002
I’d like to be a duck for a day (2x’s)
If I was a duck I’d waddle and quack
Cares would roll right off my back
I’d take whatever came my way
If I was a duck for a day
I’d like to be a dog for a day (2x’s)
If I was a dog I’d chase some sticks
I’d learn some new old, dog tricks
I’d take whatever came my way…
I’d like to be a cow for a day (2x’s)
If I was a cow I’d chew my cud
Eat some grass, lay in the mud
I’d take whatever came my way…
Ducks were made for quackin’
Birds were made to fly
Kids were made to dream great dreams
And to wonder how and why
Each of us is what we were meant to be
We were made to live in peace and harmony
I’d like to be a cat for a day (2x’s)
If I was a cat I’d play and purr
Drink lots of milk and lick my fur
I’d take whatever came my way…
I’d like to be a spider for a day (2x’s)
If I was a spider I’d climb and crawl
Across the ceiling and down the walls
I’d take whatever came my way…
I’d like to be a bear for a day (2x’s)
If I was a bear I’d eat honey and fish
I’d take a nap whenever I wished
I’d take whatever came my way…
I’d like to be an owl for a day (2x’s)
If I was an owl I’d blink both eyes
Sit in a tree and act real wise
I’d take whatever came my way…
8 - River of Dreams
9 - How Would You Feel?
Copyright John Farrell 2002
A small boy walked home
One rainy Halloween
Two big kids were waiting
On the dark side of the street
Those big kids came over
And knocked that boy down
Took all his candy
And left him there on the ground
How would you feel
If that happened to you?
What would you say?
What would you do?
Stop for a minute
And stand in his shoes
How would you feel
If that happened to you?
Nobody wanted her
She didn’t fit in
With her on your team
It was harder to win
So when teams were chosen
The best kids went quick
And day after day
She was the last one picked
Refrain
He acted and looked
So much different than us
We taunted and teased him
From the back of the bus
We even laughed
When he started to cry
Our words were like stones
He had nowhere to hide
One day at school
A new kid appeared
She dressed sort of strange
And she talked really weird
You could tell she was scared
But she tried to pretend
So I asked her her name
And said, “I’ll be your friend."

11 - Rainbow Trout
Copyright, John Farrell 2002
Sitting on an old see-saw
Chewing on a piece of straw
Rainbow Trout started to shout
Did you just see what I just saw? (2x’s)
It was a duck, his name was Chuck
He was riding in a pick-up truck
Chuck the duck in a pick-up truck
Sounds kind of fishy to me
It was an eel, his name was Shaquille
He was riding on a snowmobile…
It was a crab, his name was Ahab
He was riding in a taxi cab…
It was a whale, her name was Gail
She was riding on a monorail…
It was an alligator, his name was C.U. Rayder
He was riding on an elevator…
Claire the bear in a wheelchair
Snyder the spider on a hang glider
Tod the cod in a hot rod
Ike the pike on a mountain bike…
12 - A Good-Night Wish (Molly's Lullaby)
Copyright, John Farrell 2002
Soon you’ll yawn and close your eyes
But first let’s have just one more kiss
One more hug, one more smile
A word of thanks and a good-night wish
May you dream in peace and splendor
As the stars waltz up above
And may your friends always be near you
May you always walk in love
13 - See You Later, Mashed Potato
Copyright, John Farrell 2002
See you later, Mashed Potato
Adios French Toast
In a while Mr. Croc-a-doodle-dile
Now it’s time for me to go
May the sun shine on your doorstep
May a warm wind be at your back on every hill
May the road rise up and greet you
May a friend be there to meet you
Everywhere that you go
See you later, Sweet Potato
Adios Cinnamon Toast
Hasta Luego Rutabaga
Now it’s time for me to go
See you later, Mashed Potato
Adios French Toast
In a while Mr. And Mrs. Crocodile
Now it’s time for me to go
1 - Dad's Not Lost
( Words and Music by Tom Paxton,
copy right Paxworld Music)
Here we are in our car
We’ve been traveling ever so far
We’ve been circling round and round
Shall I tell you what we’ve found
Dad’s not lost, no he’s not
This is Daddy’s favorite spot
Right here by this same old tree
This is where he meant to be
Time and again this road we’ve crossed
We’re not worried, dad’s not lost
Down the lane and back again
Dad’s out standing in the rain
Rain is pouring down his face
Are we really anyplace?
(Chorus)
There’s a map on his lap
Dad keeps hitting it with his cap
What’s his song ever so strong
Daddy’s right and the map is wrong
(Chorus)
No one speaks, not a mouse speaks
Dad’s not been this mad for weeks
Don’t make a sound we’re turning around
We’re going back to the very same town
2 - Please Give Me Time
( John Farrell/ Hope River Music)
As I sat at my desk I was listening
to each word that our teacher said
And when she asked us a question
the answer popped right in my head
My hand it shot up like a rocket,
my fingers they danced through the air
I felt really good until she called my name
And everyone started to stare
I forget, I forgot , I’m forgetful
But that doesn’t mean I don’t know
I’m just not as fast as some other kids
But that doesn’t mean that I’m slow
Now I’ve got some real good ideas
I had one a minute ago
Please give me time and remember
That everything takes time to grow
We went to the zoo on a field trip
We saw mammals and reptiles and birds
Our teacher asked “What is the difference?”
That’s easy, thought I , we just heard
So proudly I sent my arm flyin’
like a flag on a blustery day
She called my name and said, ”Speak loud
and clear,” and all of my thoughts flew away
( Chours)
This same kind of thing happened often
so I didn’t raise my hand anymore
And now when she asks us a question
I just sit and stare at the floor
Quite often I do know the answers
I’ve still got some real good ideas
I hope I can teach myself not to forget
I hope you can help me with my fears
I forget when I’m scared I‘m forgetful
but that doesn’t mean I don’t know
Asking me louder won’t help
I’m trying though it may not show
And I’ve still got some real good ideas
Some are just seeds that I’ve sown
Please give me time and remember
Everything takes time to grow
(Chorus)
3 - Open Up The Circle
( John Farrell/ Hope River Music)
We have eyes so we can see
We have ears so we can hear
We have voices to sing our songs
We have arms for reaching out to hold each
other’s hearts
Let’s use our eyes to see what must be done
Let’s use our voices to sing a joyful song
Let’s use our ears to hear the cries of
those in need
Let’s open up the circle cause we’re all
one family
4 - Rock'N Roll For Mother Earth
Let’s rock ‘n roll for Mother Earth
Let’s show her that we care
Let’s rock ‘n roll for Mother Earth
Let’s all do our share
Let’s work to keep our water clean
Let’s help clean up the air
Let’s rock and roll for Mother Earth
Let’s show her that we care
Let’s rock and roll for Mother Earth
Let’s show her that we care
Let’s use our hands to help the earth
Let’s all do our share
Let’s work to clean up litter, recycle
and repair
Let’s rock’ n and roll for Mother Earth
Let’s show her that we care
Let’s rock ‘n roll for Mother Earth
Let’s show her that we care
Let’s use our heads to help the earth
Let’s all do our share
Let’s preserve her treasures
So everyone can share
Let’s rock ‘n roll for Mother Earth
Let’s show her that we care
( Repeat first verse)
5 - The Sons And The Daughters
(John Farrell/ Hope River Music)
We are the sons and the daughters
of the sons and the daughters
Of hope and fear, of joy and pain
Blown by the wind, tossed on the waters
Blessed by the sun and the rain
Kate and Thomas left from Ireland in 1864
Leaving family and the only life they’d known
Trading hunger for a promise
And sadness for a dream
The family tree they planted keeps on growing
(Chorus)
Anna crossed the great wide ocean
all alone at age sixteen
Not knowing if she ever would return
She didn’t speak their language,
she couldn’t write or read
But her faith and courage helped her
as she learned
( Chorus)
6 - Me Too!
(John Farrell/ Hope Music)
The Snow Goose said
“I’m gonna take a little walk”
And that’s what he started to do
He walked and he walked and he walked
and he walked
And the Penguin said “ME Too!”
ME TOO! Bottun Dumdot and Deedot Undom”
The Snow goose said, “I’m gonna go for a swim”
And that’s what he started to
He swam and he swam and he swam
And he swam
And the Penguin said, “ME TOO!” ect.
The Snow goose sa9id,
“I’m gonna catch some fish” ect.
The Snow goose said,
“I’m gonna Learn to fly” ect.
The Penguin leaped right off of that cliff
But he fell right down, down, down down
The Snow Goose rescued his friend from his fall
And placed him gently back on the ground
The Snow Goose said “I’m gonna fly some more
I’m gonna soar out over the sea”
He flew and he flew and he flew and he flew
But the Penguin said “NOT ME!”
The Penguin learned a lesson that day
A lesson that was plain to see
Sometimes it’s best to just walk away
Shake your head and say,
“NOT ME!” ect.
7 - Courage
Words and music by Bob Blue copyright 1998)
A small thing once happened at school
that brought up a question for me
And somehow it forced me to see
the price that I pay to be cool
Roxanne is a girl that I know, she’s strange,
like she doesn’t belong
I don’t mean to say that it’s wrong
we don’t like to be with her though
And when we all make a plan to have
this big party at Sue’s
Most kids in our school got the news
but no one invited Roxanne
The thing in our Junior High is
secrets don’t last very long
I acted like nothing was wrong
when I saw Roxanne start to cry
I know you may think that I’m cruel,
it doesn’t make me very proud
I just went along with the crowd,
it’s sad but you have to in school
You can’t pick the friends you prefer,
you fit in as well as you can
I couldn’t be friends with Roxanne
cause then they would treat me like her
In one class at our Junior High
we study what people have done
With gas chambers, tanks and guns at Auschwitz,
Bejing and My Lai
I don’t understand all I learn,
sometime I just sit there and cry
The whole world stood idly by
and watched as the innocents burned
Like robots obeying some rule,
atrocities done by the mob
All innocents doing their jobs and what was it for,
was it cool?
The world was aware of this hell but
not enough to cried out in shame
No heroes and no to blame
a story that no one dare tell
I promise to do what I canto let it happen again
To care for all women and men,
I’ll start by inviting Roxanne
8 - Little Bit of Light
(Carol Johnson, Noeldner Music)
I’ve got some of the light in me
You’ve got some of the light in you
And a little bit of light from everyone
Is enough to see you through
I’ve got some of the hope in me
You’ve got some of the hope in you
And a little bit of hope from everyone
Is enough to see us through
I’ve got some of the love in me
You’ve got some of the love in you
And a little bit of love from everyone
A little bit of hope from everyone
A little bit of light from everyone
Is enough to see us through
There is nobody with a handle on it all
No one place the answers can be found
But everybody has a gift
that everyone can share
Put them all together we can
turn this world around
( Repeat the first three verses)
9 - Getting To Know You
(Rodgers and Hammerstein, Williamson Music)
Getting to know you, getting to know all about you;
Getting to like you, getting to hope you like me.
Getting to know you, putting it my way but nicely.
You are precisely my cup of tea.
Getting to know you, getting to feel free and easy;
When I am with you, getting to know what to say.
Haven’t you noticed, suddenly I’m bright and breezy,
Because of all the beautiful, and new, things I’m learning about you,
Day by day.
Getting to know you, getting to know all about you;
Getting to like you, getting to hope you like me.
Getting to know you, putting it my way but nicely.
You are precisely my cup of tea.
Getting to know you, getting to feel free and easy;
When I am with you, getting to know what to say.
Haven’t you noticed, suddenly I’m bright and breezy,
Because of all the beautiful, and new, things I’m learning about you,
Day by day.
10 - Pass The Ball, Freddie
(John Farrell /Hope River Music)
Freddie was by far the fastest kid on our whole team
He could shoot and he could score the very best of all
But he hollered at his teammates and he argued with
the ref. And he never, ever, ever passed the ball
Pass the ball Freddie you’ll find that it won’t hurt
Kid’ll pass it back that’s what makes a team work
Teamwork is an attitude it isn’t just a word
So pass the ball Freddie let’s make this team work
Daidle Deedle Didle Dodle Doodle Daidle Deedle Dum
Vicki has the sweetest voice in all of junior high
She sang the lead in every single play we’ve ever done
But she never once said thank-you
To the kids that sang the chorus
And she never, ever, ever sings for fun
Sing for fun Vickie, that’s what singing’s meant to be
If we sing together we can try some harmony
Teamwork is an attitude it isn’t just a word
so sing for fun Vicki, let’s make this team work
Leo is the smartest kid in Miss Spelling’s class
He speaks Japanese and Russian
but he never talks to us
He treats us like we’re babies
and he laughs at our ideas
And he never joins a group unless he absolutely must
Lighten up Leo
You’re not the only one
If we work together we can
learn and have some fun
Teamwork is an attitude
it isn’t just a word
So lighten up Leo let’s make this team work
Phyllis is an average kid,
not great at anything
but whenever you need help
Phyllis will be there
She treats you just the same if you
win or if you lose
She always tries her hardest and
she plays fair and square
Fair and square Phyllis
gives it everything she got
When she’s in the game and cheers
For others when she’s not
Team work is an attitude
it isn’t just a word
And Phyllis is a winner
cause she makes the team work
( repeat “Pass the ball Freddie” verse)
11 - Till The Morning Comes
(John Farrell / Hope River Music)
The sun has set the day is done
Say good night to everyone
Close your eyes and rest awhile
Till the morning comes
Starlight, shining bright,
Here’s my wish for you tonight
Dreams of peace and harmony
Till the morning comes
You can go soaring like an eagle in the sky
Or diving like the whales and dolphins do
You can go anywhere, be anything you want
Knowing that I’ll be right there with you
Soon the birds will sing their songs
Telling you the night has gone
The sun will shine and so will you
When the morning comes
1 - Library Song
Michael Mark & Tom Chapin (ASCAP)
Saturday morning and the rain is pouring
Dad worked late last night, he’s in there
snoring. Same old stuff on TV, boring
So what if I can’t go out and play
I know what I’ll do today
Chorus
Oh, I’m going down to the Library
Picking out a book, check it in, check it out
Gonna say Hi to the Dictionary
Picking out a book, check it in, check it out
Now I like books and they like me
So when I go to the Library
I sit down in my favorite chair
And check to see who’s there
Maybe one book, maybe two
“Take me home,” says Winnie The Pooh,
“And if we have to travel far, I’ll bring
my honey jar.”
Chorus
Sleeping Beauty yawned and said
“I’ll come when I get out of bed.”
Madeline said “let her nap,” and jumps into my lap
The Cat in the Hat says “Hey. I’ll go.” “Don’t take
him.” Cries Pinocchio, “Don’t take that cat to your
address, he always makes a mess.”
Chorus
Mrs. Parker’s back behind the checkout desk today
The Cheshire Cat jumps on her head and says
“Let’s play!” But Mrs. P says “Goodness, are you
sure you want all these?” “Oh yes!” we
shout together. She says, “Shhh! Quiet please!”
Chorus
The Seven dwarfs begin to shout, “ Say, take us
with you. Check us out!” Then Cinderella gets her
gown and Babar grabs his crown. Then Curious
George swings from the shelf. Along comes Mother
Goose herself. Out the door we danced and sang.
The whole library rang.
2 - Habitat
John Farrell (Hope River Music)
Tales are meant to be told
Songs are meant to be sung
Each of us has a story to tell
There’s a story for everyone I know.
There’s a story for everyone
Chorus
How about you? How about you?
Do you have a tale you'd like to tell?
How about you ? How about you?
Do you have a tale to tell?
In the jungle I wrestled a lion
In the ocean I winked at a whale
In the desert I danced with a camel
And each one had it’s own tale to tell
Each one had it’s own tale
Chorus
In the sky I flew with an eagle
I helped a turtle clean his shell
In the grass I slithered with a
shimmering snake
And each one had it’s own tale to tell
Each one had it’s own tale
Chorus
In the barnyard I saw a horsefly
In the woods I was startled by a quail
In the night sky I watched as a comet
flew by And each one………
3 - Hattie The Hen
John Farrell (Hope River Music) permission
of Mem Fox, author of Hattie and the Fox
“Goodness gracious me!” said Hattie the hen. “I see
something movin’ in the bushes again. Think I’ll
move a little closer and see what I can see. There’s
a nose in the bushes, and it’s sniffin’ at me.”
Chorus
“Good grief!” said the goose. “Well well,” said
the pig. “Who cares?” said the sheep. “So what?”
said the horse. The cow looked around to the right
and left, rolled her eyes and said “What next?”
“Goodness gracious me!” said Hattie the hen. “I see
something movin’ in the bushes again. Think I’ll
move a little closer and see what I can see. The nose
has eyes and they’re lookin’ at me.”
Chorus
“Goodness gracious me………
The eyes have ears and they’re listenin’ to me.”
Chorus
“Goodness gracious me………
The ears have legs and they look fast to me.”
Chorus
“Goodness gracious me………
legs are connected to a hairy body.”
Chorus
“Goodness gracious me………
The body has a tail. It’s a fox I see!”
“Oh no!” said the goose.
“Dear me!” said the pig.
“Oh dear!” said the sheep.
“Oh help!” said the horse.
But the cow said “MOOOOO!”
so very loudly that the fox was
frightened and he did flee

In the sky I flew with an eagle
I helped a turtle clean his shell
In the grass I slithered with a
shimmering snake
And each one had it’s own tale to tell
Each one had it’s own tale
Chorus
In the barnyard I saw a horsefly
In the woods I was startled by a quail
In the night sky I watched as a comet
flew by And each one………
5 - Why The Moon Is In The Sky
6 - Listen To The Stories
John Farrell (Hope River Music)
I remember that cold Christmas morn
when I was nine years old.
All my family was at home
Except my Dad. He was off across
the ocean with a rifle in his hands
I never thought that Christmas day
could be so sad.
Chorus
Listen to the stories that the elders
have to tell, of the good times and
the hard times they have known
For the stories that they give to us
Are pictures of the past
And maps to guide us as we travel on
I remember when the first car roared
through town and scared our horse
It was black and noisy oh, we
loved it so. Last year they drove
a car like that through town in
the parade, and the young ones
laughed because it looked so old
Chorus
I remember when the steel mill
was the heartbeat of this town
Trains chugged in and out
Steam whistles screamed
Pat worked days and Jack worked
nights, we all worked ‘til the end
Now the mill’s shut down it all
seems like a dream.
Chorus
I remember when I met your Granddad
He was young and strong
And the kindest, sweetest man I’d ever met
Now he’s old and cannot walk
Sometimes he doesn’t know my name
But his strength and kindness
We must not forget
Chorus
7 - I Like Ants
John Farrell (Hope River Music)
I like ants, they make my Momma Dance
I like frogs and polliwogs.
I like snakes. I like to visit the zoo.
I like animals, and I like you and you
and you and you and ME a lot too!
I like lions. I like their curly hair
I like penguins. They’re so debonair.
I like lizards, and leopards too.
I like animals, and I like you and you
and you and you and ME a lot too!
I like elephants, and their long gray trunks.
I like spiders. I even like skunks.
I like koala bears and kangaroos
I like animals and I like you and you………
I like dolphins, they can walk on their
tails. I like monkeys, and I like whales
I like hippos and rhinos too.
I like animals and I like you and you………
I like ants verse repeats………
8 - Family Tree
Tom Chapin & John Forster (ASCAP)
Before the days of Jell-O
Lived a prehistoric fellow
Who loved a maid and courted her
beneath the Banyan tree,
now they had lots of children, and
their children all had children, and
they kept on having children
until one of them had me.
Chorus
We’re a family and we’re a tree
Our roots go deep down in history
From my great, great Granddaddy
reaching up to me
We’re a green and growing Family Tree
My Grandpa came from Russia,
my Grandma came from Prussia
They met in Nova Scotia, had my Dad
in Tennessee. Then they moved to
Yokohama where Daddy met my Momma
Her Dad’s from Alabama and her Mom’s
part Cherokee.
Chorus
One fine day I may go to Tierra Del
Fuego. Perhaps I’ll meet my wife there
and we’ll move to Timbuktu. And our
kid will be bilingual and though she may
stay single, she could of course go mingle
with the King of Katmandu.
Chorus
The folks in Madagascar
aren’t the same as in Alaska.
They’ve got different foods, different
moods and different colored skin.
You may have a different name
but underneath we’re much the same
You’re probably my cousin
and the whole world is our kin.
Chorus
9 - Don't Give Up
Poor old Uncle Don,
He’s got troubles low and high.
His roof has got a leak in it,
And his well has just gone dry
There’s no water in the kitchen sink
It’s on the bedroom floor instead.
And if he doesn’t fix that roof pretty soon,
He’ll be sleepin’ in a water bed
But Uncle Don is a dreamer
And he would never quit
So he closed his eyes, and scratched his
head, and thought about it a bit.
And when he was finished thinkin’
The answer was clear as a bell
He put a pipe underneath
that hole in the roof,
And ran it right down into the well.
He said
Chorus
Don’t give up! Don’t give in!
Even if you’re feelin’ down
And you don’t know where to begin
Dream of the stars
But start diggin’ down
Remember every tree that you see
Has roots deep in the ground.
Grandpa Jack was 93,
When his hands began to shake
He didn’t hear too well
But he still worked hard
In his bakery decorating cakes
A wedding cake was ordered to read
“I’m yours forever more.”
But the bride passed out
when the cake came in, it said
“You’re underwear is on the floor.”
But Grandpa Jack is a dreamer
And he would never quit
So he closed his eyes, and he went to sleep
And dreamt about it a bit.
And when he was finished dreamin’
He decided to change his style
Next day the ad in the paper read
“Cakes that’ll make you smile”
10 - The Hug Song
Fred Small (Pine Barrens Music)
Chorus
I want a hug (echo) when we say hello
I want a hug (echo) when it’s time to go
I want a hug (echo) cause I want you to know
I’m awfully fond of you
I want a hug (echo) what a wonderful feelin’
Want a hug (echo) just to feel you squeezin’
Want a hug (echo) yes it certainly seems
Like the natural thing to do
When I was a little bitty baby
child
My Momma used to hold me tight
My Daddy would come and pick me up
When I got scared at night
Now the years have passed
and I’ve grown so fast
and mostly I feel strong
But timid or bold, I’m never too old
To sing this cozy song
Chorus
Now some folks don’t like huggin’
They think that they’re too tough
I bet they’d be a whole lot friendlier
If they were just hugged enough
When you hug the ones who love you
An amazing thing you learn
When you give a hug, you just can’t help
But get one in return
Chorus
Sometimes grown-ups are grouchy
And they put the blame on you
Sometimes you make just a little mistake
Though you did the best you could do
And sometimes love is everywhere
And it’s a beautiful day
But anytime is the perfect time to open your arms
and say
Chorus
11 - Love Grows
Carol Johnson (Noeldner Music)
Love grows one by one, two by two
And four by four
Love grows round like a circle
And comes back knockin’ at your front door
Note by note we make a song
Voice by voice we sing it
Choir by choir we fill up the world
With the music that we bring it.
Love grows one by one, two by two
And four by four
Love grows round like a circle
And comes back knockin’ at your front door
So let me take your hand my friend
We’ll each take the hand of another
Hand in hand we’ll reach round the world
To our sisters and our brothers
Love grows………
Chorus

2 - Rachel
Words and Music copyright Bob Blue, 1990
I used to be best friends with Rachel
And Rachel was best friends with me
We always dressed just like each other
And watched the same shows on TV
On weekends sometimes she'd sleep over
We'd whisper till we fell asleep
She's a friend that made me feel important
She's a friend that I wanted to keep
Oh Rachel, where are you now?
Did I do something wrong?
Did I hurt you somehow?
Oh Rachel you once were my friend
Will you ever like me again?
A girl moved in next door to Rachel
Her name was Melinda MacNeil
The two of them struck up a friendship
With no thought to how I might feel
Melinda and Rachel went skating
I didn't know Rachel had skates
Now Melinda's the one that she plays with
And I am the one that she hates
Should I try and forget about Rachel?
Should I hope that she'll come back to me?
Should I try and make friends with Melinda?
Can a friendship include three?
Should I pack up and move to Alberta?
If I did would she miss me at all?
I hope she hears my song
We can fix what went wrong
Rachel, please hear my call
3 - Feelings That I Have
Copyright John Farrell, 1995
Sometimes I feel like an eagle
I can see the whole world as I glide
Sometimes I feel like a rabbit on the run
Just looking for a place to hide
Sometimes I feel like a lion
Everybody listens when I speak
Sometimes I feel like the cat has got my tongue
My voice is small and weak
Sometimes I'm up
Sometimes I'm down
Sometimes I spin around and round
Sometimes I'm happy
Sometimes I'm sad
Feeling the feelings that I have
Sometimes I feel like an oak tree
My branches reach to the sky
Sometimes I feel like a jellyfish
Just riding the waves as they go by
Sometimes I feel like a beaver
I can change if I keep working on
But sometimes I feel like a snowman in the sun
I'm here now but soon I'll be gone
Sometimes I feel like a sunrise
Everything I touch is warm and bright
But sometimes I feel like a dark and cloudy day
I can't get anything right
Sometimes I feel like a song that fills the air
I'm a melody, a harmony, a verse
But sometimes I feel like a worm on a hook
This ain't much fun but it could be worse
4 - Kilkelly, Ireland
Words and music copyright Peter Jones, 1983
Kilkelly Ireland1860
My dear and loving son John
Your good friend the schoolmaster Pat
Mac Namara's
So good as to write these words down
Your brothers have all gone to find work in
England
The house is so empty and sad
The crop of potatoes is sorely infected with
A third to a half of them bad
Your sister Brigid and Patrick O' Donnell are
going to be married in June
Your mother says not to work on the railroad
And be sure to come on home soon.
Kilkelly Ireland 1870
My dear and loving son John
Hello to your Mrs. and to your four children
May they grow healthy and strong
Michael has got in a wee bit of trouble
I suppose that he never will learn
Because of the dampness there's no turf to
speak of
And now there is nothing to burn
Brigid is happy you named a child for her
Although she's got six of her own
You say you found work but you don't say
what kind
Or when you'll be coming home
Killy Ireland 1880
Dear Michael and John my sons
I'm sorry to give you the sad news
But your dear old mother passed on
We buried her down at the church in
Kilkelly
Your brothers and Brigid were there
You don't have to worry she died very
quickly
Remember her in your prayers
And it's so good to hear that Michael's
returning
With money he's sure to buy land
For the crop has been poor and the people
are selling
At any price that they can
Kilkelly Ireland 1890
My dear and loving son John
I suppose that I must be close on 80
It's 30 years since you've gone
Because of all of the money you sent me
I'm still living out on my own
Michael has built himself a fine house
And Brigid's daughters have grown.
Thank you for sending your family's picture
They're lovely young women and men
You say that you might even come for a visit
What joy to see you again
Kilkelly Ireland 1892
My dear brother John
I'm sorry I didn't write sooner to tell you
But Father passed on. He was living with Brigid
she says he was cheerful
And healthy right down to the end
Ah you should've seen him playin' with the
grandchildren
Of Pat MacNamara your friend
We buried him alongside of Mother
Down at the Kilkelly church yard
He was a strong and a feisty old man
Considering his life was so hard
And it's funny the way he kept talkin'about
you
He called for you at the end
Why don't you think about coming to visit.
We'd all love to see you again
5 - Tell Me Ma / St. Ann's Reel
Traditional
I'll tell me ma when I go home
The boys won't leave the girls alone
They pull my hair and they stole my comb
But that's all right till I go home
She is handsome, she is pretty,
She is the belle of Belfast city
She is courting 1, 2, 3
Please won't you tell me who is she?
Albert Mooney says he loves her
All the boys are fighting for her
They knock on the door and they ring the bell
Saying oh my true love are you well?
Out she comes as white as snow
With rings on her finger and bells on her toes
Ol' Jenny Murray says she'll die
If she doesn't get the lad with the roving eye
Let the wind and the rain and the hail blow high
And the snow come tumblin' from the sky
She's as nice as apple pie,
She'll get her own lad by and by
When she gets a lad of her own
She won't tell her ma when she comes home
Let them all come as they will
For it's Albert Mooney she loves still
6 - Playing Right Field
Words and Music copyright Willie Welch
Saturday summers when I was a kid
We'd run to the school yard and here's what we did
We'd pick out the captains, we'd choose up the teams
It was always a measure of my self-esteem
'Cause the strongest the fastest played shortstop and first
The ones they picked last were the worst
I never needed to ask it was sealed
I just took up my place in right field
Playing right field is easy you know
You can be awkward, you can be slow
That's why I'm here in right field
Watching the dandelions grow
Playing right field is lonely and dull
Little leagues never have lefties that pull
I'd dream of the day they'd hit one my way
They never did but still I would pray
That I'd make a fantastic catch on the run
And not lose the ball in the sun
Then I'd awake from this long reverie
And pray that the ball never came out to
me here in…
Off in the distance the game's dragging on
There're strikes on the batter, some runners are on
I don't know the inning, I've forgotten the score
The whole team is yelling and I don't know what for
Suddenly everyone's looking at me
My mind has been wandering. What could it be?
They point to the sky and I look up above
And a baseball falls into my glove
Playing right field, it's important you know
You gotta know how to catch
You gotta know how to throw
That's why I'm here in right field
Watching the dandelions grow
7 - It's History!
Words and Music copyright John Farrell, 1998
Who? What? Where? How? Why? and When?
Who? What? Where? How? Why? and When?
It's your story, it's my story, it's our story,
It's History!
Who? What? Where? How? Why? and When?
Who were the first to settle on this land?
Why did they choose to make their homes
right here?
When did they arrive? How did they survive?
What can we see today that tells us they were
here?
Who were the ones that helped to build this
town?
What were the hopes and dreams that
brought them here?
Where did they work and play? How did they celebrate?
What can we see today that tells us they were here?
Who were the ones who found fortune or fame?
Why is it that we still recall their names?
How did they serve and lead? What are their legacies?
What can we see today that tells us they were here?
What was it like to be alive back then?
What brought joy and sadness to their lives?
Let's see what we can find as we hold the hands of time
And drift back through the years to yesterday

9 - It's Just A Game
Words and Music copyright, John Farrell 1998
The sun was shinning bright and the grass
Was oh so green
We were laughin', we were singin', it felt
good to be a team.
We had new shorts and socks - on our
shirts they wrote our names
Everything was goin' great until they said,
"Let's start the game!"
Then the other team appeared, they came
like soldiers to a war
They were big and they were fast and they
looked mean.
Their coach was yellin' at 'em, he even
called us names.
I couldn't help but wonder, "Does he know
it's just a game?"
It's just a game! It's just a game!
We're only kids. We're not the pros.
We joined the team to learn and play and have some fun.
We'll try our best to win
but if we don't there is no shame.
Please remember this:
"We're only kids - It's just a game!"
Then the game began. We were nervous, we
were scared
Cause they were big and they were fast but
they weren't mean.
They did play well together. They scored time and time again.
We made some good plays too and we tried
hard until the end
But then the game was over. We went and
said "nice game!"
Quickly thoughts of ice cream filled our
brains.
Till we heard a grown-up shouting, "It's your
fault, you're to blame!"
I wish someone would tell him, "It's okay, it's
just a game!"
As our season went along we lost every
game but one
But we got better and we learned stuff that
was new
Our coach says we're amazing.
And our teamwork and our friendships grew
and grew.
But when the last game ended another
team finished first
They played well. They played hard. They
were the best.
And though the medals went to them we
feel like winners just the same
We never quit and we know "It's just a
game!"
10 - Summer's Here
Word and Music copyright John Farrell , 1998
Twenty- four bug bite, freckles by the score
Baseball, soccer, ice cream galore
Old friends, new friends, strawberry pie
Summer's here, another year, reach up and
touch the sky
Swimming in the ocean, fishing in the pond
Riding bikes, playing cards, making up a song
Shooting stars, bumper cars, lemon butterflies
Summer's here, another year, reach up and touch the sky
Reach up and touch the sky, reach up
and touch the sky
Summer's here, another year, reach up
and touch the sky
Swinging in the hammock, climbing up a tree
Picking wildflowers, running on the beach
Marshmallow chin, raspberry grins, catching fireflies
Summer's here, another year reach up and
touch the sky
Reading to each other, reading all alone
Teasing, fighting, talking on the phone
Hummingbirds, jellyfish, asking how and why
Summer's here another year reach up and
touch the sky
The barbecue is sizzling, the sun is sizzling too
Running barefoot through the grass, trying
to find my shoes
Chocolate chips, melon pits Cygnus shinning bright
Summer's here, another year, reach up and
touch the sky
Supper's on the table, there's always room for more
Sleeping in the bunk room, playing sibling war
Writing letters, playing life, watching clouds drift by
Summer's here another year reach up and
touch the sky
Jumping from the hayloft, bonfires neath the moon
Company's a coming , let's sing a welcome tune
Acorn , sweet corn, birds begin to fly
Summer's here, another year, reach up and
touch the sky
Rain falls on the garden, green fields turn to gold
Rainbows decorate the sky, the young renew the old
Everyone is crying, it's hard to say good-bye
Summer's here, another year, reach up and
touch the sky
11 - Mistakes Are Our Teachers
Words and Music copyright, 1998
Mistakes are our teachers
Our teachers are mistakes
We have a chance to learn something
From each mistake we make
Thomas Alva Edison
Made the light bulb shine
But before he got it right
He was wrong 500 times
Wilber and Orville Wright
Believed that they could fly
It took years of falling down
Before they reached the sky
Rosa parks was right
When she said " I will not move"
The law was a mistake
As Rosa's courage proved
The great Henry Aaron
The all time home run king
For every homer Henry hit
He took a thousand swings
12 - Happy Birthday
Traditional, Melody is "Mary Widow Waltz" by Franz Lehar

1 - It's Snowing!
It’s snowing! It’s snowing! The first flakes of the year
It’s snowing! It’s snowing! Soon winter will be here
It’s snowing! It’s snowing! It’s covering the ground
I hope it snows and snows all night so school will be closed down
So light the lights and sing the songs
The holiday season is here
The air is cold but our hearts are warm
This wonderful time of the year
The cookies are baking, the air is smelling sweet
The first batch is cooling, soon there’ll be some to eat
The chimneys are breathing their smoke into the sky
As flakes fall down and pile up our hopes begin to rise
So light the lights and sing the songs
The holiday season is here
The air is cold but our hearts are warm
This wonderful time of the year
It’s snowing! It’s snowing! The first flakes of the year
It’s snowing! It’s snowing! Soon winter will be here
It’s snowing! It’s snowing! It’s covering the ground
I hope it snows and snows all night so school will be closed down
2 - One by One
Thank you for the sun that shines
Thank you for the stars above
Thank you for the rain that falls
And thank you for your love
One by one we count our blessings
As we come to share this bread
Let us gather round the table
May our hearts always be thankful
For each gift that we receive
One by one we count our blessings
With our friends and family
Thank you for the air we breathe
Thank you for the food we eat
Thank you for our families
And thank you for your love
3 - Hot Chocolate & Diplomacy
Thanksgiving Day has come and gone
And Christmas is drawing near
So we dress real warm and we pile in the van
Just like we do each year
We’re going to Sam’s, the Tree Man
He lives down a long and a winding road
We’re going to cut one down, tie it on the roof
Turn around and go back home
Yeah, we’re going to get our Xmas tree
It’s a family tradition
Thousands of trees to choose from
So we inspect each ones condition
Everyone wants to be the one
To find that tree that’s chosen
But if we wait until we all agree
Our limbs will end up frozen
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
Calm and gentle evergreen
A symbol of good will and love
But you make us mad and we act real mean
We argue and we disagree
Everyone wants a different tree
How we going to solve this peacefully?
Hot chocolate and diplomacy
How about this one?
It’s really great
Are you kiddin?
That’s way too tall
There’s one over here
It’s round and it’s full
That’s a beauty but it’s kind of small
I found it!
This is the perfect tree
It might be
if the branches weren’t brown
Hey, look over here, this tree is the one
No way! That tree is falling down
Chorus
When we get it home and into the stand
It really doesn’t look so great
There’s a space over here,
it’s leaning over there
Maybe we made a mistake
Then we begin to put the ornaments on
Add the candles and the lights
Put the angel on top,
And the gifts underneath
And our tree is marvelous sight
Some people like their tree
to be just so
The perfect shape and size
Each branch, straight,
each needle the same
And the ornaments -- synchronized
The lights must be spaced symmetrically
And at the top – a crystal star
I’m amazed by trees
that look like that
But I’d rather have a tree like ours
Chorus
4 - It's the Christmas Play!
It’s the Christmas play
It’s the Christmas play
Hope I don’t forget
What I’m supposed to say
Here we are at last - -
Standing on the stage
Singing in the Christmas play
Yesterday at practice
Things didn’t go that great
Shepherds were fighting with the sheep
And the wise men came in late
And angels wings got broken
Someone stepped on Joseph’s toes
And the kid who sings “Good will to men”
Went home with a bloody nose
Teacher says “It’s a miracle!”
She cried and then she laughed
Our one hour dress rehearsal
Took two hours and a half
The microphone works - - sometimes
The piano’s not in tune
Rumor is first grade's got lice
And the fourth grade's got the flu
The kindergartners will be cute
If they don’t trip on the stairs
As tangled antlers twist and turn
In restless reindeers hair
Santa called to say he’s late
He’s stuck in a traffic jam
But we’re glad you’re here, it’s another year
Singing in the Christmas play
5 - Dear Santa
Something’s been on my mind
I’m wondering how do you do it?
Where do you find the time?
How do you visit every kid
In this great, big, wide old world
I’m wondering how do you do it?
Signed, your good friend, Earl
Dear Earl, Thank you for writing
Those are questions I’m often asked
And although I look old and rather round
I’m actually sort of fast
But it takes more than speed
To make it from Juneau to Japan
I can do it because you love me
And because you believe I can
Dear Santa I’m writing a letter
There’s something I’d like to know
Where do you live? Where do you work?
Is there really a North Pole?
How do you make all those toys
And dolls and games and clothes?
I’m wondering how do you do it?
Signed, yours truly, Rose
Dear Rose, I’m glad that you wrote to me
Now I’m writing back to you
I live and I work all over the world
From the North Pole to Spain to Peru
I have lots of help making the gifts
But you’re also a part of the plan
I can do it because you love me
And because you believe I can
Dear Santa I’m writing a letter
There’s something I’d like to ask
I know you work hard all year long
Do you ever find time to relax?
Make sure you take a vacation
Play baseball or go for a swim
And remember to take good care of yourself
Signed, your best friend, Slim
Dear Slim, I enjoyed your letter
It was real nice of you to ask
I do work hard but I play some too
If you don’t time goes too fast!
Next summer when you’re on vacation
If you see a fat bearded man with a tan
Remember that anything’s possible
If you love and believe that you can
6 - Let's Go Caroling
Let’s go caroling, Christmas caroling
Let’s go singing songs of the season
Call on the neighbors
and bring them a song
Let’s go caroling now
7 - A Little Bit of Scrooge
There’s a little bit of Scrooge in everyone
A touch of Ebenezer underneath that grin
There’s a little bit of Scrooge in everyone
So open up the door and let him in
Christmas is a happy time, a time for reverie
A time for celebrating with friends and family
A time for giving gifts, for sharing love and joy
But it also is a time for getting grumpy and annoyed
The days are short, the lines are long,
I dont know what to get
I was gonna shop early, I havent started yet
The dinner party might be fun but I don’t want to go
A white Christmas would be great without the snow
(chorus)
Lights and decorations appearing everywhere
As songs of the season float through the air
Boxes from the attic, memories of the past
But it’s hard to enjoy it when you’re going so fast.
We buy too much, we want too much,
we eat too much too
We throw stuff away just because it isn’t new
We only want the latest, the biggest, and the best
It’s no wonder that so many are lonely and depressed.
(chorus)
The ghost of Christmas past, recalls the deeds weve done
I should’ves and I would’ves that cannot be undone
Christmas yet to come Well it’s just a crystal ball
It’s the present that’s our present it’s greatest gift of all
So when youre feeling grouchy, when you’re feeling down
Remember Ebenezer and the fortune that he found
He bought that that prize turkey, and then gave it away
He learned that life’s treasures are all within today.
(chorus)
8 - Christmas is Coming
In a small village way up in the mountains
The snow falls so silent and white
Children are drifting on ships made of dreams
Their whole world is magic tonight
Down in the city the bustling continues
As last minute work’s being done
Just one more present or one final call
To reach out to one more loved one
Christmas is coming, yes Christmas is coming
It’s bringing us hope, turning darkness to light
Christmas is coming all over the world
Christmas is coming tonight
In a large house that sits high on a hill
A fireplace burns warm and bright
Laughing and singing, exchanging fine gifts
Their spirits are joyful and light
In a third floor apartment a family of eight
Hold each other to keep themselves warm
They say a prayer thanking God for His gifts
And ask Him to help them be strong
In a home for the elders who don’t have a home
An old man hums old Christmas tunes
He smiles and remembers when he was a boy
Reindeer flew right across the moon
Just down the road in a hospital bed
A child hears his mother’s first song
She sings “Silent Night” and they feel the same light
That was felt on that first Christmas morn
9 - I Should Close My Eyes
After waiting for so long
Now the time has finally come
And I lie here in the darkness
Knowing I should close my eyes
But I can’t, there’s too much excitement
Too many sounds on this silent night
What’s that?
That’s the clock upon the wall
Are those footsteps in the hall?
Is that the sound of
sleigh bells jingling?
I think I hear the angels singing
In the distance church bells are ringing
Sounds of hope are everywhere tonight
Quiet voices somewhere
Something’s moving on the stairs
But now my eyes are feeling heavy
And the sounds are fading away
Now I’m drifting like a snowflake
To a quiet, quiet place, quiet place...
10 - Gotta Get Going
Gotta get going, gotta keep moving
I’ve got miles to go before I sleep
Gotta get going, gotta keep moving
I’ve got places to go and promises to keep
All year long we’re waiting
For this special night to come
We’re working and we’re planning
There’s so much that must be done
Making gifts, checking lists of addresses and names
We load the sleigh – - We’re on our way
It’s Christmas Eve again!!
Each year things get hectic as the seasons roll around
Days fly by like shooting stars
Leaves fall to the ground
Weeks just seem to disappear like snowmen in the sun
Until that bright and magic night
When time stands still again!
Thanks for the milk and cookies
They really tasted great
I’d like to stay and visit but the hour is getting late
Sometimes I’m like a candle
Burning at both ends
Then I look at you and it pulls me through
I’m like a kid again
11 - The Birthday of a Child
When you wake up Christmas morning
Filled with love and hopes so high
Remember what we celebrate
Is the birth day of a child
A baby born to parents
Who were far away from home
They were hungry, they were tired
They were scared and all alone
And then a light came shining
And all their cares were gone
For like every child that’s ever born
He made their hearts a home
Two thousand years have passed
Since that first wondrous Christmas morn
When the world was changed forevermore
Cause a baby child was born
And still that light keeps shining
It has blessed us all today
So like a child let’s live in peace
And follow in His way
12 - Christmas in the Trenches
My name is Francis Tolliver. I come from Liverpool.
Two years ago the war was waiting for me after school.
To Belgium and to Flanders, to Germany to here,
I fought for King and country I love dear.
It was Christmas in the trenches where the frost so bitter hung.
The frozen field of France were still, no Christmas song was sung.
Our families back in England were toasting us that day,
their brave and glorious lads so far away.
I was lyin' with my mess-mates on the cold and rocky ground
when across the lines of battle came a most peculiar sound.
Says I "Now listen up me boys", each soldier strained to hear
as one young German voice sang out so clear.
"He's singin' bloddy well you know", my partner says to me.
Soon one by one each German voice joined in in harmony.
The cannons rested silent. The gas cloud rolled no more
as Christmas brought us respite from the war.
As soon as they were finished a reverent pause was spent.
'God rest ye merry, gentlemen' struck up some lads from Kent.
The next they sang was 'Stille Nacht". "Tis 'Silent Night'" says I
and in two toungues one song filled up that sky.
"There's someone commin' towards us" the front-line sentry cried.
All sights were fixed on one lone figure trudging from their side.
His truce flag, like a Christmas star, shone on that plain so bright
as he bravely strode, unarmed, into the night.
Then one by one on either side walked into no-mans-land
with neither gun nor bayonet we met there hand to hand.
We shared some secret brandy and wished each other well
and in a flare-lit soccer game we gave 'em hell.
We traded chocolates, cigarettes and photgraphs from home
these sons and fathers far away from families of their own.
Young Sanders played his squeeze box and they had a violin
this curious and unlikely band of men.
Soon daylight stole upon us and France was France once more.
With sad farewells we each began to settle back to war.
But the question haunted every heart that lived that wonderous night
"whose family have I fixed within my sights?"
It was Christmas in the trenches where the frost so bitter hung.
The frozen fields of France were warmed as songs of peace were sung.
For the walls they'd kept between us to exact the work of war
had been crumbled and were gone for ever more.
My name is Francis Tolliver. In Liverpool I dwell.
Each Christmas come since World War One I've learned it's lessons well.
That the ones who call the shots won't be among the dead and lame’
and on each end of the rifle we're the same.
13 - Season of Light
Moments of stillness
Moments of Peace
Call us to remember
The star in the east
Shining so brightly
All through the night
Calming our fears
In this season of light
Watching in wonder
Giving in Hope
Waiting for the child
To welcome us home
Rest for the weary
All through the night
Joy in our hearts
It’s the season of light

15 - It's The Little Things
It’s the little things that I do too
It’s the little things we do together
That make this world a little better
It’s the little things that we do
There’s a little light inside of you
There’s a little light inside me too
And when we put our lights together and
Do the little things together
We make this world a little better…
There’s a little song inside of you
There’s a little song inside me too
And when we sing our songs together and
When we put our lights together and
Do the little things together
We make this world a little better…
Even on the coldest morning a little fire warms
Even on the darkest night the little stars still shine
And even in the dead of winter beneath the frozen ground
The little seeds lie waiting to start their upward climb
It’s the little things that you do
It’s the little things that I do too
It’s the little things we do together
That make this world a little better
It’s the little things that we do
There’s a little song inside of you
There’s a little song inside me too
And when we sing our songs together and
When we put our lights together and
Do the little things together
We make this world a little better
